Here is a VF-30/35 1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar which attributes at O(Overton)-114. The 7th Star on the obverse has been recut and has a little spur on the top/outside point. The reverse shows the I (PLURIBUs) being under the right side of the T in (STATES.) The 5 in (50 C.) is taller and leans to the left. This and a few other little quirks point to the characteristics of the O-114. Take Care Ben
Beautiful coin! You really know your stuff Bone Is this your coin or just something you're sharing with us?
Oh, it's mine. Just another one for the old collection Thanks for looking. I made a mistake about the I&T relationship. The I is actually under the RT side of the T. Ben
Nice coin ben, are you collecting a set of bust halves as per Overton variety? Love the series! Chuck
Still a lovely coin and an under-collected series. The original "Lettered Edge US Coinage" beats anything available today, IMHO that is.
