Well, that's tough to say. If you sell them and lose money then you got screwed. If your a collector and enjoy the series, plan on getting more and make lots of friends after joining clubs and organizations, then I'd say you made out okay I'll also say it is a shame that slabbed coins draw more attention (money) than unslabbed ones, alas... Here is a value scale. One of the best and most accurate I've found on the web. Post some pictures when you can. http://www.bestcoin.com/us-morgan-dollars.htm Take Care Ben

Mark, Gator eyes are extremely common. And many exist in ms-67 condition or higher (very few 68's). It is my understanding that they do not carry a premium, but I may be wrong.
I would say that you did pretty well at $1,700. Just examine the coins within the holders and see if you think that they are graded properly. If they are, then you are in good shape.
got my coins.. one i posted.. some nice coins in the set.. some nice periferial toning. some could be upgraded.. some ?? i would grade lower but hey!! IM not a profesional.....LOL..... ill try and get the pics of some up in a few days later mark :goofer:
