(p.s) Someday will you let me know of the place where you buy your gold coins from?

    CLAW[/QUOTE]

Hey Claw...the majority of my gold comes from a guy in Oklahoma "Ken Schlosser" he is a pretty good dealer and the other source is tele-trade auctions.

    Good luck !!!

I have the 1999W proof Quarter Oz platinum with a pretty low mintage of 13,524
but the price has gone nowhere

Complete Set 1/10 th APE Unc and Proof

Well when I first started this thread in Feb 2006, I still needed several coins to finish the set.
It is now March 31, 2007 and I am happy to say that I have completed this set up to 2006 in Proof and Uncirc examples..all of them PCGS MS and Prf DCAM 69.....I did get lucky and get the 2006 "W" Uncirc Burnished Die with only xxxx?? coins minted...I just ordered the 2007 1/10 oz APE uncirculated and waiting for the proofs to come out soon.

What a beautiful set these are as well as the various 1/4 and 1/2 oz examples I have hanging around.
Thanks for the post's in this thread and keep em coming!!

    Howdy Centdime....

I am not to sure of the mintage??? What source do you have on the numbers?
I edited my post due to uncertainty. Thanks for the update and any source would be appreciated.

    Semper Fi,

I think you've got a good plan. I haven't gotten into platinum, but am setting my 2 grandsons (1 & 3) with most of the mint issue stuff. So far I've been doing mint and proof sets of both types, most commemoratives, proof eagles, and legacy sets. Haven't gotten into gold or platinum 'cause I'm just a poor old marine.

However, I really like your idea of going with 1/10 plat in slabbed and while I'm not much of a slab guy, I'm thinking of maybe going with the proof mint issue stuff in either gold or silver in the smaller fractionals - like 1/10 or 1/4.

Hell, even an old jarhead can afford something like that.

    ooooorrah!

This is what I use for the numbers [numismatic news]. The asterisk means those should be final numbers and they are sold out.

    Semper Fi Rono....
Understand that completely. My American Eagle Series id for my 5 yr old son.
Maybe it will keep him out of the Grungy Grunt's domain.

Centdime; Thanks for the numbers.. 3700..WOW what a deal huh?
