Strange Markings on Quarter

    This is a 1981 quarter, it had strange markings, I don't know much about coins, but I was wondering if this is an error or something that happened elsewhere.

    This is the bests picture I could get because I do not have access to my camera at the moment.

    The rims have been ground off of your coin and its considered PMD (Post Minting Damage).
