    You could make the argument that someone thinks they got over on him. If he had put up a 1928 and the listing said 1923 would the buyer be obligated to make the seller whole? If a person doesn't look at the coin and doesn't read the description in their rush to get something for nothing that is their problem.

    Nope. Especially not if the bid was placed before the description was modified. Regardless, this still counts as "Search and browse manipulation: Misleading title".

    If the description (or photo, or title) doesn't accurately represent the coin, the buyer has the option to seek relief through Buyer Protection. There is never any obligation to do so, but I think everyone knew that.

    He sounds like he is trying to scam people and try to justify with the fine print....hmmm he must be in politics. o_O
