I only own one and it's a silver 1934 20 Korun. There are some nice interesting coins from their country.
looks like you have some green PVC damaged going on there. you might take some acetone to it to remove that green stuff. interesting design on the reverse.
I only have 2 coins from CZECHOSLOVAKIA 1 in the "coins with hands" collection... and 1 in the "coins with small coins as the design itself" collection...
yes but you want the more pure 1 like say from Walmart hardware section. do NOT use the nail polish remover 1. I would use it only on low end (cheap) silver coins. copper nickel ???
I just watch a YouTube video on how to clean a coin using aceton. I have tons of silver and they are all in flips housed 3 ring BCW binders except for my completed silver sets they are in Dansco albums. I'm sure and hope my silver is safe in the Dansco albums, I will have to research them.
49, i was going to ask how you store your coins. if that's pvc damage it isn't coming from the flip. double check and make sure the sheets in you albums are PVC free.
Regarding cleaning, I live in Germany and soak coins in "U-Verdünner", i.e. universal paint thinner, which is acetone and ketone, and assorted light hydrocarbons. I usually soak dirty coins for 2 weeks and have never noticed any damage, I don't think it can possibly hurt metal coins (might not be too good for some of the German ceramic "Notgeld"). But it does dissolve away gunk on the surface. After that, if it's a really nice coin, you might want to cover it in VerdiCare for 10 minutes to prevent future verdigris.
and my favorite, the 100 Koruna commemorative issued by the grateful Czechoslovak state in 1949 to celebrate the 70th birthday of their liberator and benefactor: Joseph Stalin
Coins of Czechoslovakia is the one of my favorite threads. I like Prague (Czech's capital) very much. I visited Prague at 2011 and 2014. It is my favorite European city
