    Need a better pic of the mint mark, but it does look like something. This looks like a cell phone pic; if so, you could try using a loupe as a makeshift macro lens (unless it's an iPhone 6, which already has macro mode built in).

    Your last photo seems to show a tool mark leading up to the mint mark. If that's the case, probably someone got bored and scraped off half the mint mark and left that blobby thing in its place. I don't think this is an error.

    Oh, yes, man made. All coins are man made.
    The mint mark? It took a hit after leaving the mint.

    hahahaha no but thanks everybody technically speaking yes all coins are man made but I got a little laugh out of that no I was just curious if perhaps happened at the mint or not but I didn't think so thanks guys I'm still learning progress
