After a long hiatus, the Chopmark Collectors Club's journal Chopmark News is being published again. If you are interested in this fascinating and under-researched area of numismatics contact Colin Gullberg [click on my name, ColinG, to send me a private email]. I'll email you the club's email address and will forward a free electronic copy of the newsletter to you.
Ripley, Could you send me an email at: chopmarknews@gmail.com I'll send you a copy of our latest edition.
Good news Colin, sign me back up. Where and how do I pay dues? Sorry I missed you at the Chicago ANA. I was only there a day and a half. I had two meetings the same day yours and Byzantine Coin club. I missed both because I lost track of time. By the time I realized what time it was I was past the time for us to leave for Economawak, Wisconsin where my wife's brother and his bride live. We had two full days there before driving back to O'Hare to return hom. It was a quick week when one considers road time to and from Wisconsin. In the past couple of years I have only purchase one coin, a 1907 Hong Kong dollar with one chop. I'll try to send an image of it. Most of my efforts have been in my main numismatic endeavor, Byzantine and Arab/Byzantine coinage. My first love. I still have all issues in my library and have gone back to read some of the back issues. Your book is my main rescourse. Take care, and thanks for keeping the candles burning. I've been thinking of you a lot with the Chinese threat to your home. Why we can't live in peace on this very small spot in our own solar system let alone the bloody universe. Cheers, Larry Gaye
