NEW 73-024 MANIFOLD PLUMB CRAFT FLEXIBLE GAS COATED METAL CONNECTOR 2 F RANGE

So, if you have an item that has nothing at all to do with coins...

...and you list it under the Coins and Paper Money section...

...but you choose the Errors subcategory...

...does that mean it is properly listed? :)

Maybe he should have listed it as EXTREMELY RARE ERROR GOLD BASEBALL HOF STRUCK THRU GAS STOVE HARDWARE PLANCHET NOT RETAINED...

I personally don't see what the problem is: NGC has graded it PR-69!

What do buyers want, a PR-70 manifold plumb craft flexible gas coated metal connector??

Like 69 wouldn't be good enough for most people... sheesh.

Now, if it was a gold HOF coin struck thru gas stove hardware, that would be one the error collekters would really salivate over.

Easy explanation, he typed in Circuit Circus and it took him to the coins section.

More than likely, the seller listed an item using a previously created listing, such as a template or "sell similar" based on an older or another listing, but failed to change the category, and then repeated the process for all items he has up in the wrong category. It happens if you are not vigilant (or careless) when creating listings in part because of the utter disaster the eBay format is for creating listings.

That is certainly possible, but I'm inclined to believe that it was done intentionally. Basically, it's the same thing as spammers posting such things as tennis shoes, t-shirts or pharmaceuticals on some of the coin forums. There is just a lot more traffic, both here and on eBay.

You're reading too much into it and casting a negative image of a seller that's more than likely a false one. Just because this forum's precious eBay coin category got a misplaced listing isn't necessary to go to these extremes. The seller has a way of listing items utilizing the "other" category in other overarching categories as well. He lists in and sells mainly the same sort of gear, and in many cases, he is using the overarching Computers category, which is just two below Coins when one manually selects a category.

Given that it's a gas line for a stove, not a dryer, are you sure you didn't mean "cooking the books"?
