Hi guys, thanks for looking. Found an interesting quarter today in my cash register. Not sure how classify these kinds. Is it struck through grease or something? The rim is odd, and bottom of "quarter dollar" reads "quar lar" also some of the leaf above quarter is gone. You can see very very faintly, when zoomed in on picture, the bottoms of the missing letters. I have similar coins from the statehood quarters. Delaware missing e is first state, new jersey missing the r is crossroads. Thanks for any input.
Is there any value to coins like these? Also i want to show what i believe is a doubled die obverse, on a 2014 arches quarter. I pulled this aside at work today along with the quarter above. I thought i could see doubled "p" mint mark. And when i got home i could see doubling everywhere. In the pictures you see it best in "liberty", "in god we trust", and in "quarter dollar" a bit along the top "United states of America"
Not really worth much unless its big but I keep them anyway because there cool lol. As for you 2014 would need better pics and good close up of both sides
Yea im the same way. I was 16 working at. Bowling alley when the statehood quarters started coming out. I saved rolls of each state as they came out just to save money, collected a ton of odd little things like die cracks, grease marks and others. I've always liked coins but never seriously collected them. I've got a stash of wheat pennies and a handful of indian heads mercury dimes etc. I'll add them to the collection regardless. My goal would be to get better at grading, and seeking out errors. And actually knowing what those errors are. I'll need to try and get better pictures tomorrow, maybe on a better phone or in better light
