found this coin hunting I examined the entire coin and my conclusion is that it might be the rare 1972-DDO-04 . I would like to know what everyone thinks

Looks like MD to me..[Edit]..On second thought, I'm thinking maybe it is. Looking at Variety Vista http://varietyvista.com/1972PDDO004 cent.htm, most of the markers are there. The T in Liberty doesn't look quite right, and I don't see the die chips on the RIM. But other than that...How does the eye look?

No doubt it is the correct rotation, but the "OD WE TU" do not appear to be correct to me. I did not count the 'R' as it appeared to be damage. MD I believe.

if it was MD the doubling would be flat not raised as seen from the shadow

I think the doubling is "flat-ish" or there wouldn't be such a dark shadow between the two, but you have it in hand.

    What about the reverse?
Also, is that a die chip I see in Lincoln's mouth?
    I'm thinking maybe 007.

i'm about 99% sure it isn't 004. The extra thickness, especially on IN and WE in the motto, just isn't there on the OP's coin.
