Is this a doubled die or very unusual MD? I see doubling on the ear and hair to the west of the ear. I am sorry for the two upside down pics. They are not upside down on my computer?

Judging from the 2nd pic down it appears flat like it took a direct hit. I'm not aware of a doubled ear variety for 1982 but I could be wrong. I think all 5 listed for this year are at "In God We Trust".

I agree however that brought my attention to the doubling of the hairs touching the neck, and then to the doubling going down the back of the coat. It's quite prominent.

I am at a loss unless it is machine doubling. I'll let some others take a stab at it.

Just a couple of well-placed hits. PMD

Doubling on the west side of the neck, hair, and jacket. It doesn't look "shelf like".

Image5651.jpg What about thee Y in liberty... Another "lucky hit"? I still see doubling on the hair between the ear and the Y. Image5646.jpg
