Yes Bonnie I'm afraid so, if you are talking QE II neck line and forehead. That's know as double profile but it carries no value other than making the Queen look two face. This is very common I find it on US Bust Halfs, and Jefferson nickels. Keep searching you ll hit paid dirt sooner or later.Paddy
Here you go Bonnie a few examples of what you're seeing . The First a Jefferson Nickel the Dome on the Rev. has a double profile. Second an 1874 US three cent Pc. the back side of the head double profile as well look at the lettering MD.
It's either md or die fatigue. Notice it's at a lower level than the original design. 99% of the time a dead giveaway.
I think the doubling on the Canadian cent is MD. But I suspect the outlines around the "OF" pictured above is another cause...since they don't show an offset but encircle the two letters. It might be die deterioration or "shoulders" of the punch transferred to the die. To my eyes, the irregularity suggests wear, and you can see a die chip off the top stroke of the "F"
So you like? I'm not sure liberty is impressed with my drawing looks as if she needs a nose job and a wart removed.
