Rumor run faster than truth. But i would like to see the Roosevelt Dime redesigned . Its been 67 yrs with the same design. «®»
I think they should change the obverse portraits on all coins to match the style of the Jefferson nickel. The "facing portrait" of the nickel can be used on all other denominations, although for the quarter, I would wait until the America the Beautiful series wrapped up. For all of the creativity the Mint shows with the quarters and special commemoratives, they sure are timid when it comes to changing designs on our circulating coins. Even with the cent and nickel, they only changed one side of the coin. Why are they so timid? We have a chance to change the design of the Kennedy half next year with the 50th anniversary, but they won't do anything except offer special finishes. Why not a commemorative reverse, like the bicentennial, only this time honor the space program, the civil rights movement, or the peace corps? At least there may be some hope for a one year type with Liberty on our coins again. But I have to see that to believe it. The Mint seems a bit inconsistent when it comes to designs.

I favor re-design for any coin as long as they don't put another politician on it. Put Neil Armstrong on the dime.
Totally thought that was ol Slick Willy at first. I'd love to see him on a coin. Lol. Put him on those Trillion Dollar coins for how much of a joke they both are.
I tink Ronald Reagan would be awesome, not that it will happen and, Fifty, they are trying to put Reagan on the 10 dollar bill, Not the fifty buck bill. Another good candidate is Eisenhower. they had him on the dollar then replaced him with susan b Anthony. totally stinks. I think an Eisenhower dime sounds awsome
So we could be reminded daily how well trickle down economic worked for the working class? Nah.... back to classic coinage , Miss Liberty, buffalo's, eagles icons of America past, not dead Presidents .
Saint Reagan like put Bill O'Reilly on a dime. Not a political issue Design of all America coins could use updating but subject should be Artist Reagan on art add to coinage was a copy of $20.00 Saint from 1908 and was made for Bullion coins Investigating. If we just change one that up to congress and would anyone up there agree on anything. ??
You know Paul McCartney tune "fool on the hill" way before it's time should of been titled" the fools on the hill!"
I would love to see a wild life theme on the currency. I want a deer to be on the one dollar bill, hence the term a buck. The old school lithos of native wild life are quiet impressive. The face of a coyote could make a nice coin.
Lets hope it remains the same. Forever. The rest of our coins pretty much suck aesthetically. Cent - low-relief pot metal, nickel was OK before the new obverse, quarter - nice hair. Friggin' dollar looks like an Aladdin's Castle arcade token. Hey, maybe the CCAC can get us a nice design like a bent dollar that looks like a glove. All is lost. Our current coins are an embarrassment compared to even some third world countries.
To be honest maybe not in my time but sooner than you think coinage will be totally gone . Everything will be done on electronic debits card/ credit cards. No need for cash.
2003 or later we asked this debt cards would do this to coinage and it has 2009 1 year dimes and nickel are hard to find there will be more years to Sadly.
There will always be a need for cash. Some people like privacy. Tax evaders, strippers, and drug users/dealers, shoot even coin collectors like to deal in cash to blur their purchases.
I hear "they" are pushing for Margaret Sanger on dollar coins? Its amazing the screeching over this. They claim women are not equally represented, but only by ignoring the fact Lady Liberty is female. Edited: Political.
