Thanks Kanga. I've walked the floor at the past few Baltimore shows, and am heartily considering an offer to share a booth this month. You're in a good place, as it is indeed a very good show. If I decide to share the booth, I'll put the number into a CT thread.
LOL well take it from someone who drives through DC 3 out of 5 days a week , around the mall etc. There won't be any cherry blossoms until April. We have had a tough winter heck the river is frozen. Have not even seen homeland security gun boats in over a month! We'll maybe if you want I could buy some silk blossoms and do one tree for you. All kidding aside yes the festival starts March 14 but I'm thinking any budding will be late March and blooming in full around the 10 of April. If they do bud the frost is going to kill off any chance of a major bloom. The average temps around the Mall have been the mid to low 20's. Wind chills in the single digits .
My buddy and I are coming down from Central PA on Friday and hope to find some gems for our collections. You will find me digging through the uncleaned and unsorted box lots of Ancient coins. There are always coins in those boxes that catch my eye and spur my interest.
Frank you need a break you have not had any fun since you shared your lunch with that squirrel in Chicago. Yes I said squirrel grey bushy tail tree rat. Post the pictures Frank . We all need an awwwww!
I forgot these were in my phone. I was waiting for the shuttle to the ANA on Thursday morning I had taken a couple of small muffins for a snack, and meant to bring them to my room. I put them on the bench and suddenly had company: This is after I gave him a tiny piece. A man offered to feed him: He wasn't afraid of anything snacking away: So, I got brave and tried to feed him my self. But there was no free lunch with me He had to work for it, so.. I made him beg for the food: he was very gentle, and used one paw to steady himself on my finger while gently taking the food with his teeth! He never touched my hand [with his mouth]. I had to rush to the shuttle so I gave the rest of the muffin the guy to feed him. A stewardess was watching and exclaimed "You named him!?" So I told her How else is he going to know that I have food for him? She just shook her head. I said, silly lady. Stanley didn't care, he wanted food.
Neat set of images. I remember hand-feeding squirrels with peanuts when I was at school at OSU. The older squirrels would come right up on my leg to get a nut. The younger squirrels were VERY wary. LESSON LEARNED: Don't let squirrels climb up your leg to your lap if you are wearing shorts. Their VERY sharp nails will render a bare leg somewhat bloody.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww Frank see everyone Frank is not an old Grump after all! Just an old man whom feeds the squirrels. Awwwww again. It just goes to show you how "Sweet and Nice" Frank truly is.....
Here's a photo of Frank at the last Baltimore show he attended. He's a real Roland Martin as he caught this fish in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Being the nice guy he "TRULY IS", Frank went out and got a fish fryer and fed the entire show catfish! Truly a show stopper. However the people at the Baltimore National Aquarium were not very happy.
