I don't know this dealer or his merchandise but 2 full pages in Numismatic News of these tiny letters and 200,000 "+" symbols is just annoying to look at. If every single item is at least 3 +s, can't they just be eliminated?
I hate those, I see a lot of them in "COINage" magazine. What annoys me is that I may be in the middle of an article, turn the for the next page of the article and instead of my article that is there. Then 30 pages later I see the last page of my article.
That would encroach upon this dealer's plus sign real estate Seriously though... why does the lack of decimal bother you? I'd be much more annoyed with a string of $xxx.00 or worse yet, $xxx.99.
There is a very simple solution for your complaint. You can insist on paying their advertising invoice. Chris
That's why magazines and newspapers do the whole "Continued on page XX" thing. It's so you have to flip through and potentially see ads. It certainly doesn't improve the readability or usability of the publications any.
Mr. Tiso! Know his ads well, so confounding I pass right by them. He is a well respected dealer but I just don't have the time to decipher his ads. Good luck to anyone that can. And if it's giving YOU a headache, imagine his poor secretary entering all those +++++++ and getting it right.
