OK...Who's tired of Washington "Errors"??

Here's the question...Are you enjoying all of the Washington errors? Or, are you like me, tired of all of it? I mean, I'm all up for a great Double Die, Repunched Mint Mark, and even Ledge Lettering missing (long as they can all be seen by the naked eye or small magnification loupe and NOT an electron microscope). But, some of these errors people are looking at and for borders on the insane. It kinda reminds me of the Minnesota Quarter "Extra Tree" DDR varieties. So...here's your chance to vent. Are you getting tired of it all like me? Or is it great fun that you're enjoying??

Unless it's off center, I tend to ignore it. I don't collect it, but the no edge or no face dollars are OK.

Well, they are legitimate errors, and if some collectors enjoy studying, attributing, and collecting them, I say go for it. Personally, I could care less, but to each his own.

Welcome aboard, plavalley.I am getting a bit tired of hearing about the trivial 'errors' in the Presidential Dollars. Why don't people talk about the proper errors in the Presidential Dollars, especially the ones with missing edge inscriptions, including the missing mintmarks?

At least it has gotten the attention off the hundreds of trivial buffalo nickel "errors" being sold. Never thought I would see anything to compare with those nickel errors, but I guess I was wrong!:kewl:

I thought the missing letters, missing face, and super doubled letters were neat, but for as all the rest, they're for specialists

Are those the new coins many are talking about? If so, yes...

I’m not tired of the errors. I’m getting very tired of the same people trying to keep this error stuff going. Maybe they do not realize how repetitious they are! Sorry for telling the truth . LOL
They do not need a thread everytime they bring it up

I'd like to land one with a blank Obverse or Reverse, maybe the one with the ""Rays"" or a Sac that accidentially gets edged...

But Overall, I was tired of hearing about them the day they starting hitting Ebay as errors and the lady on CNN kept calling them Quarters all day...

it is an error to put mint mark and year around the rim. every time you have to turn and even hard to see the date and mint mark. hopefully they will change it.

If you want to cure that problem, write your Congressman or Senator - they're the ones who can introduce a bill amending the law!

Well, kinda tired of it, but it seems that every new coin for mass circulation has some sort of initial error until the Mint gets the "kinks" worked out. Of course a lot of it is hype and someone trying to get on the bandwagon with even the most trivial of mis-strike and I get weary of that. I must admit, I broke open a few presidential rolls to check for the smooth rim (that seems to me to be a true error)....but I didn't have any luck. I even went so far as to let the gal at the coffee shop keep her eyes open for them....but no luck yet. I'm not an error collector, but to have one for the collection would be neat.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you might be surprised to learn that a large part of the collecting community begged, absolutely begged on bended knee for many years, for exactly this type of change in our coinage.

There is so much more to coin collecting than just errors. Can't beat a rare date perfect coin. In 2009 the Gem BU 1909-s VDB will go way up
