I'd still like to see the older style notes return with the beautiful engraving of the past. 1 banknote.jpg 1 banknote 2.jpg

Nice concept. Doubt it would ever get implemented. Entirely new printing equipment would be required and existing suppliers may be forced out. Too costly until counterfeiting becomes too big of a problem.

Meh. let's go back to the 1928-1995 notes, or even better, just copper/gold/silver coins like before 1861.

Those are awesome. If those were ever made I would absolutely save one of every denom up to $100.

I love what it says on them "this currency is upheld by the integrity of it's people." Bit more of a promise than the government ;)

I like the idea of changing it....I think the new modern stuff would be better though but would not mind the old either.

I really like the design, but i think we should go back to the small head notes. I liked the art on those. But i wouldn't be disappointed if that was our new currency.

I like the fact that this designer has his own security measures incorporated into the design. IMO he did a better job than the cartoonish present style.

I was just on Facebook and it was hopping with hysteria over a possible new $20 bill. I had to backtrack and find the story--apparently a group of women have mounted a campaign to replace Jackson on the $20 with a woman. They're trying to get enough support to take it directly to the Treasury and think with enough support it can be done.

The problem is that one of their suggested replacements is Margaret Sanger. Some of their other suggestions were ok--Eleanor Roosevelt, Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks, etc.--but having Sanger as a possibility will guarantee a backlash.

Can people just suggest a change to the Treasury and if there's enough people they'll do it? I thought everything took a Congressional order.

I just can't see the government doing anything that would take their own kind off the face of currency. Their ego's are too big and they would point at tradition or feel the need to keep their party in front of the public every day. Plus they have control of the laws governing our money. They would be opening the door to special interest groups lobbying for their cause, theme or individuals on the currency as they do now on commemoratives. You might as well ask them to vote through a decrease in their wages. It has the same chance of success..

I'm not against changing the $20 if there's really that much against Jackson. However, if it is in the spirit of 2020 being the anniversary of Women's Suffrage, they really should pick someone relevant to that cause, and not just "any woman in general".
