What does that mean? Is this directed at the Gunga Din comment?

I think the thread died. I was just impressed that a lot of the dealers were encouraging of my kids and their interest in coins.

 

Wow. Ok. Following a movie reference with an accompanying line is "thread hijacking". I have never heard this term used like that before. Got it.

 

This is indeed excellent. I hope that we have a similar experience, when I take my kids to a coin show.

No. Not at all. Clearly I am the one stirring the pot. Hijacking like a terrorist.



On a side note, I spend a little extra money at dealers tables who acknowledge my daughter, give her freebie coins, etc. I appreciate that.

 

I had a similar experience when I took my younger son to a coin show a while back. He had a blast. He did the same thing as far as picking through a bucket of IHC... and one of the dealers absolutely made his day by giving him an inexpensive loupe. He used it the rest of the day!

 

I didn't think the Gunga Din posts were hijacking the thread, just adding some humor. I've seen worse hijack's go un-commented on by the mods.

I think if you polled 100 people and asked if there was any ill will in my comment, hijacking, etc, one person, just one, would say yes. And they are a mod. Right when I first signed up I got a warning from a mod, even though the person they were "saving" from me messaged them that they didn't need to take any action and all is well. Kinda feels like there is a target on my avatar and I haven't got the fanciest as to why.
