I'm sure we've all been there...you're poking through a box, or case, or pile of coins you've had sitting around somewhere, and you come across a coin you completely forgot you owned. You can't remember where you bought it, when, for how much...it's like the other coins started breeding and created this coin out of thin air. (If only it worked like that!)

Post a coin you completely forgot you owned. Here's mine - a rainbow toned 1968 Mexico 25 Pesos. My brain is pretty sure it's never even seen this coin before...and yet here it sits.

@treylxapi47 - do you still hate this design? :)

I don't HATE it, just find it a little unattractive and goofy. Although that one would have a fine home here in my collection.

I remember every single US coin I've ever owned. They are all round and metallic.

I'll have to look through my old box. There are probably a few in there. Without going through it I don't know whuch ones I forgot because I don't remember! Haha

Look, if you're trying to say I need to better organize my collection, just come out and say it.

(I like having a disorganized collection. Any day I start to go through it is like Christmas all over again.)

That's a beautiful coin which I'd enjoy finding.

I know I've had similar experiences, but now have forgot which coins, and where they were placed.

I'd every certified/ raw coins cataloged in multiple spreadsheets, but a lightning storm erased all drives, computers, and records, requiring acquisition of new computer systems that wont accept my old Fat32/DOS "back-ups".

I may find the coins with the Easter eggs I've been told I'd hidden, and can't locate.

"advanced longevity" is so much fun, as the opportunity for learning/remembrance is an every day occurrence .

I trust that others here haven't yet experienced the advanced memory deficiency phenomena.
I'm glad to observe that the "whippersnapper" Doug still has lucid faculties. LOL

I'm tempted to photo the P/L examples of this coin for you.

(Personally, I love the eagle side, maybe not so much the player side...but I've seen much worse MORGAN DOLLAR. YEAH, I'M TALKING TO YOU.) Ha ha ha...
