Undervalued 1860 half

    Picked this one up on ebay a few months ago. $23.55 + $3 shipping. The guy had it graded at VF+++, Wrong! I grade it VG10 but think it is very close to F12 even though the liberty is rubbed in the center. Undervalued in my opinion due to the low mintage and the fact that silver coins were hoarded and even melted at the start of the civil war.

    I don't thin kyou can ever go too wrong with the seated liberty series (seems your username agrees). Big fan here. I like 'em even if they're holed.

    nice coin for about $25 ! It would be very hard to find a few dozen like it, very close to Fine, certainly a very honest strong VG-10.
