I'm gonna go with MS65 Could be 66 but I think the hit to the eye lid and over the ear may hold it back.
The cut over the eye I think is the issue on this one. I'd still squeeze it into gem. It depends on the weight the graders give that. Do you know the VAM?
I'm seeing all kinds of distracting spots on her cheek. Some contact marks above the eye and what appears to be a small scratch on the obverse (10 o'clock). The spotting is the most distracting. Could be from a bad rinse after dipping. MS63 would be my grade.
Theres a faint clashed E but its not the 1b... thats y i bought it... i never buy dipped looking coins but i couldnt resist this one... i bought this down in the nasty nati yesterday at a show....wait til u see the toner i bouggt
The reverse is cracked up along the lettering. It's a VAM for that year, I just don't know which one. I like it a lot. The reverse is trying real hard to tone in the central region and is taking its time about it. The luster grazes on the cheek jpcienkus noted are overlooked on these a lot of the time when the fields are as clean as for the most part on this one, at least, that's been my observation. It's a market thing, you know. That's all.
Good eye eddie... im a huge fan of letter transfer on morgans... theres a.clashed I,N,M,S,T,D and the elusive E clash under the tail feather.. this one has it all! Ucant really see it good in the photo.. i will try to capture the.clashed areas better this evening...this coin has some really neat features!
It's a very interesting coin, heavycam.monstervam. One of the first things I noticed on the reverse is the tail feathers area is struck rather weakly. Good luck on it. It has a lot going on. I hope you can get it attributed.
Huh?? It hasnt even been 24 hours yet ...the big reveal will given when i get off work, rinse and pop a top.... if thats ok with you?
