Hello all! I know a little bit about coins and bullion and I came across a deal at a yard sale about 4 months ago that I couldn't pass up, purely on melt value alone. I will have two different postings, but here are some coins that I have no idea of the value on. Any help from you experts is appreciated GREATLY! Thank you. First is a 2013 5oz Britannia First Releases Gem Proof with cert, pamphlet, signed picture, and display case. Second is an 1827 capped bust in rough condition. Third is what looks like the start of a love token?
Love the 10-pound Britannia. Longtime decimal British proof set collector here and I don't even have one. You are very fortunate to have found this coin.
Yeah definitely good one to have. I have not seen numbers of mintage but not many people get them. Grading to I think it has good reason for holding it's value.
I find it interesting that the Britannia is slabbed but with no grade. Gainesville Coins lists them at $830 graded PF70 here. Also, mintage of 1500! Nice score!
Thank you guys for all the input! Now you have me excited. I'll try to get some more pictures up this week if I have anymore questions. You've all been so helpful. I'm not sure if this is the place for it, but it's for sale. Any idea what this would bring on e-bay since it doesn't have a grade?
