Hey I was wondering which company I should send some of my coins off to get graded I collect pennies and how much would it be
Pennies as in Great Britain and Australian pennies or the US cent? PCGS seems to be harder on copper than NGC
PCGS is best if you're going to sell classic coins, as they bring the highest prices. Cost is $20 for economy plus $10 processing plus $19.99 return shipping. NGC is nearly as good for resale. Cost is going to be a total of around $40, give or take. ANACS requires no membership or joining fees, and they are your cheapest option. Grading is fairly accurate and they are inexpensive for variety attribution.
Gotta ask, why would you want a wheat cent in poor condition to be graded, I know it's a 1909 but still, why? Are you planning on selling it?
If you must get stuff graded, I'd say anything where the cost of grading was more than 10% of the value of the coin is money wasted on grading.
