2019 P Nickel Reverse

Hi all I have this 2019 P nickel which on the reverse side down under the letters MER in America there is strange mark. Not sure what it could be?

I can't tell. It looks like a stain. If it is a lump of metal it could be a cud.

 

Thanks there is something there I have never seen a cud other than a picture. Does a cud start there?

 

Yes. Cuds start at the edge of the coin.

 

That dark spot appears to be a stain. Cud’s must touch the rim and be raised but this does not look like it’s raised.

 

I think I will keep it and see what it does. The spot is level with the letters. Thanks everyone.

 

Looks like a stain to me. Might try a Q-tip with some acetone on it to see if it lifts the stain or changes it in some way.
