I bought this from the area flea market (inside of course as it is MINUS 10 degrees in Northern Ohio). The guy had a price tag on it of 245$ but everybody was leaving and I threw 150$ on his table and said "take it or leave it" - to my surprise he took it. Raw coin so just slipped into a non-PVC coin bag - (I hope) - Any thoughts as of grade or price? - this coin is now home with me and should I send it out or just keep it in a holder?? I thought 150$ was a chunk of change but had to rescue this girl!!

What is that line starting from rim to her neck? A scratch or die crack?

Looks harshly cleaned to me. I don't think it will grade cleanly so I would not send it in. I don't have a thought on price as it's an impaired coin.

I personally try to avoid coins like this unless rarity comes into play. But on common coins, I have come to find that I can't get over the problems and eventually upgrade them, so best to just avoid them from the beginning.

Coins re-tone. Maybe it's just the pictures, but to me, the surface of that coin is distracting, YMMV.
