Hey, I know personally that the "agitated female human" is the most ruthless and most calculated and vicious animal (wow, but I love her) ... Curious though? => ummmm, what animal do you cool coin-dudes think would win the "Ultimate Roman Coliseum Cage Match"
Hmm, good question. Perhaps the Grisly or wolves if a pack were allowed. I dunno. I'll be interested in what others think.
I'd say elephant, with rhinoceros a close second. I think I may have read that the hippo is the most dangerous animal in Africa, though.
Wolf, or Grizzly, eh? (two pretty obvious contestants) ... hmmm? ... yah, but over the years, I've seen my pets fight and I'm fairly sure that the cat-side is always the fricken creepy-killer-side!! So, I'm gonna vote for the "Big Cats" ... Obviously, Lions in Africa and Tigers in India are the Kings & Queens of the planet => Ummm, but here in my Northern Canadian Dojo ... Oh my GOD, the Mountain Lion (Cougar) is the fricken "Boogie-man" ... gorgeous animals, eh?
=> although chrismat's balrog may be winning, Z-bro's big-mammals may be the favourites? ... but we definitely need more votes (oh, and coins) ... please post your cool coin of the day (oh, or your rugged killer animal coin?!!)
Ummm, here are ten pretty tough combatants ... ... hmmm, but maybe you're correct? ... maybe it's the elephant?
In India, if a pack of lions come up on a herd of elephants, the elephants will just look at them and make them go around. If a single adult tiger comes up, the herd of elephants will part to let the tiger pass. Kind of tells you who the REAL king of the jungle is. While an elephant or rhino are definitely dangerous, I would have to put my money on a tiger against any animal one on one.
Yep, the tiger & the polar bear are fantastic hunter-predators. (I personally would fear those two animals the most). Fortunately, they live in different areas so they should never meet. My money would be on the North American grizzly bear. Their hide is tough, mussels are strong & their bones are VERY strong. I understand that pit fights were held in the USA Wild West. At one time it was popular to match the grizzly against a bull. The bull would charge & the grizzly would get damaged. The grizzly would then dig into the bull with its claws until there was no more bull. Grizzly bears use their claws to dig through dirt & rock every day. I understand that the grizzly pit fights got boring because the grizzly always won. The mosquito carrying some disease would probably prevail in the "Ultimate Roman Coliseum Cage Match". Anyone got a mosquito on an ancient coin? Here is a pretty tough male lion from Iran. His throat is protected from the tiger's bite & he can poke his opponent with his sword.
