TIF, we have an Ethiopian restaurant nearby, Addisu. If you're ever in Pennsylvania, give me a holler - we'll take you!

I think for favorite coin, I'll have to go with my lighthouse tessera. Only numismatic representation of a lost structure? That's a winner.
Food? That is much harder. For breakfast, it's a tie between a full English breakfast and a classic New Jersey taylor ham egg & cheese sandwich. For lunch, an enormous Mission-style burrito is a surefire winner. There are definitely the most options for dinner. My go-to favorite is a steak and kidney pie with a good pint, but a hot bowl of pho would work too!

For my favorite coin, I'll pick up Diana and Apollo. I don't know what the gods eat and drink. I'll eat rice crispies with milk and coffee for breakfast. For the rest I go for fried eggs, boiled potatoes, hamburger, yogurt ,cake , cola and fruits all the way.. Because I have very weak teeth, being a heavy smoker myself. Hmmmm? ... well, I have been eating like a complete pig during the winter months (*burp*)

So today, my Mr. Spock and I decided to step-onto the scales and have a wee bit of a weight-loss challenge ...

=> I weighed-in at a rotund 213 pounds!! (not unlike Augustus Gloop, from Willie Wonka)

https://www.google.ca/search?q=charlie and chocolate factory augustus gloop photos&es_sm=93&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=lBXlVJ_6EsSmggSQm4OQDA&ved=0CB4QsAQ&biw=1280&bih=935#imgdii=_&imgrc=WVEwtIekeQKWQM%3A;VbE4Nqa8zz4FBM;https%3A%2F%2F38.media.tumblr.com%2F47208f6837a375732579667cba428d95%2Ftumblr_mrn1kgliOv1r8oc0mo2_400.gif;https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tumblr.com%2Ftagged%2Fnail-factory;400;226

    ... anyway ...

Arrrggghhh, but I still want to eat!! ... ummm, so "hopefully" I'll be able to exercise my way to victory?!!

=> so, tonight's dinner is Bacon-wrapped, chocolate cheese-balls ... followed-by 15 years of the stair-climber (that's kinda like climbing the ladder to Saturn)

Yeah, I've been on a diet since Jan 4. I am stepping in to give my niece away at her wedding on Mar 7th and she wants me to wear my uniform. Now mind you, I've been out of the service for 14 years. I understand the longer clothes hang in the closet the more they shrink. Well, you can just picture this porker trying to get into a uniform two sizes too small. So, I have since lost 24 pounds. You can also bet your bippy I plan to eat the biggest, juiciest hamburger I can find on the day after the wedding.

    Back to coins. Today's favorite:

As far as drink goes; you can't go wrong with a bottle of Lambrusco Wine. Best served with Calamari
:). As far as coins. This Solidus of Maurice Tiberius takes the cake.

I'm with MagMax. Yuck! Maybe there's a qualitative difference in taste perception between beer lovers and beer haters. I only like it in certain cooking/recipe applications.

There must a screw loose for you non beer drinkers. Wine states like vinegar and just a few sips makes my gums go numb. Must be the tannins contained in the wine.

Herdwick lamb roast with roast potatoes done in dripping and lashings of gravy. Cup of tea or glass chateauneuf du pape.

    Current favourite coin:
    Aureolus
Aureolus was a general of Gallienus, who commanded the new
cavalry corps. He allied himself with the Gallo-Roman emperor
Postumus, issuing antoninianii from the city of Milan, though
Postumus never conquered the region. His coins often have compact
die engraving, reverses noting Calvary, and are on thick, short
flans that those of Postumus from mints in Gaul. H e was executed
    under Claudius II.

The green stuff is inactive and there appears to be some silvering remaining under the crud on the reverse.

Can any of you post a coin that refers to beer? Is there one? Grapes and Dionysos/Liber are common but there are fewer grains and none I know that are not equally interpreted as bread rather than beer.
