I have just finished a roll of 1958 Lincoln Cent roll and found 20 die clashes under the neck that look exactly like the listed ADC-1C-1958D-01 at Mad Die Clashes but mine is not listed or, it is but the picture is of a 58D. Does anyone know of the 58P existing? And it's value in B.U. condition? Shown is a borrowed picture and one of mine. I know it's faint but it is there under the chin in front of the throat.
Tommy, This is actually a very common occurrence on wheat cents from the 50s. I search a lot of BU rolls of 50s wheats and it's rare that I don't find at least one die in each roll that doesn't show a clash in front of the throat.
Thanks. This was my first foray into a couple of rolls that I had purchased a very long time ago. Never saw one before so I thought half a full roll was odd. I'll sell them on ebay. Any idea what I should ask for 20 of them in BU? I want to be fair.
I sometimes list them individually and sometimes they'll sell for the .99 starting price, and sometimes they'll get bid up to 2 or 3 bucks.
I guess I'll start at $19.99 for the lot at Buy it Now then. Auction takes too long and I did not pay a lot for the roll. The die cracks at the head are really prominent along with some minor reverse cracks also. Thanks for the help.
Aha now I found one last night. I thought that he looked like Bill Murray. Aha that is it!!!! But in a 53 I thought that it was beat up,but I noticed by his nose there is an extra flap, then I got to looking and saw that all the indents were extra deep, there was an extra bit of chin and an eye, cheek, the only thing I knew for sure was the strike through on top of his head. So I put it away and thought I will look into it tomorrow. Something drew me to the error coin forum and here you are Tommy with my coin...my Lincoln looks like Bill Murray. Please give me your though on this Abraham Murrey,
Sorry, I am still trying to figure this forum thing out. I ended up with three post and I do not know how that happened. Thanks for your patience.
Your pic is large enough but I can't see it there. Can you use Paint to circle the images you see or arrows to point them out. Thanks. Tom
