1988D cent error?

    I am unsure what I have found here. Between we and trust there is something on the top. Also the T in trust is barely readable. Looks like some indent above the 88 and lastly on the initials FG you can bearly make out.     What you are seeing is plating issues. Beginning in 1982, the mint transitioned to copper plated zinc planchets and plating bubbles and disturbances are common with the "zincolns."

    It's a plating irregularity. They still didn't know what they were doing with the plating back then. It took them to the 1990s to figure that out.
