Do you prefer ASE's over the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins and why? I'm interested to know which coin will be a better deal to buy now. And is the Canadian silver coins only going to be worth their bullion content as I have seen ASE's with earlier dates have gone up in value.
My preference is ASE's because of their liquidity but I wouldn't mind picking up a few Maple Leafs in the future........
I picked up 3 Maple leafs off Ebay the other night for 21.32 apiece (free S&H). I see them usually go between 23-25$
I like ASE's better, mostly due to the fact that they rarely develop milk spots. But I'm not buying any of either at current retail prices, the premium are too high. Even if you get a good deal at $2 over spot, that is still over a 10% premium which is too high in my opinion for a bullion coin.
I've had PCGS graded MS69 ASE's with milk spots before - they look like crap - resold immediatly! How can a MS 69 have milkspots? I never understood that.
Yeah, I was wondering how miniscule of difference silver content in 1 troy ounce at .999 fine compared to .9999 fine silver?
well I was born 1959 - I guess that don't count? I remember Gilligans Island, Lost in space, and Andy Grifith!! I'm a guessin that don't count!!! Oh and Hogan's Heros and All in the family too!!
Yeah - had fun during the time period - BUT if you gave me the chance and the "big guy" asked me if I wanted to be 55 in this screwed up world without anyone taking command to protect us - I would say no!!
I kinda wish I did - as compared today with all the idiotic crap going on in the schools today!!! Muslim prayer is required to be memorized but don't dare reciept anything Christian - but this is NOT a political or religious statement - it's just an observation!!! Where are all the GSA's????
Mark? Chill brother. The minute we get into religious commentary we all break out in fist fights.......
Yeah - I knew I would get in trouble!!! Thanks for the tone down. I'm kinda hyped on that situation with all thats going on - guees I gotta talk to Ted Nugent
