To make the Smartpost even more insulting, my sets did NOT arrive for pickup today. When I called FedEx they sent me over to the Smartpost desk and they checked and said the USPS had NOT picked up the Smartpost trailer yet so I have no idea when they will finally show up. The delivery day was today. What a joke the Mint shipping Smartpost is!!!!

It took 10 day to arrive here too.

I saw lowest serial # report at J 05696500 A. And highest so far is J 05750200 A. Different is 53,700 set. Hopefully the mint keep it at 50,000.

That's a concern for me..as it should be for you also. Can you check that number again?

EDIT: He was using the serial I had posted...I was thinking how could we have the same one...I am tired and am going to bed...I can not read...sorry for the confusion.

  8. I read a post on another forum that the delay in the second wave of shipping was due to a problem with the notes. I guess it is possible they went out of sequence at some point.

Guess, they needed some time to manufacture a few errors (to send to me) to stir things up what with the coins having A/B positions.:D

After a closer inspection 4 of my dollars are Position B and 1 is Position A. I didn't realize that the capsule could be opened so I was able to get a closer look today. The SN's of my paper dollars are J 05749671A- J 05749675A. My order was placed on 12/12.

In position B the edge lettering reads correctly when Sacagawea is facing up or "heads" up. In position A the edge lettering reads upside down when Sacagawea is facing up.

It is hard to check the coin for position A or B. It take a longer period of time to see it. Do you have better ways to check it?.

Perhaps, with a chance at higher prices for these in a certain position, the effort spent verifying which you have should be worth it, as well as spending the few extra moments enjoying your coins without short cuts.

Thanks. All of mine read correctly when Saccy faces up.

I'm looking for someone in the same boat as myself to trade an opposite position with.

I gave a 'A' set to my father in law. I was not sure if he gave a hoot then he calls me with some eBay issues and while working him through it I see he is bidding one two PCGS MS69 Type A and B coins....he was thinking he could get both of them for $100. I told him one will go for that...not both. Glad to know he cared and maybe will get back into collecting. I will have to give him a Kennedy silver set for his Bday.

Got my 5 finally. Took 4 to my coin club and placed them for auction, they sold like hotcakes for $35, a couple sold for $36. Not bad, better than paying feebay.
