hello i am new to this site but know my way around the hobby a small bit i was reading about this coin i just found in a box of junk, i am puzzled there seems to be a multitude of things happening here please any thing you might see or have any knowledge that can steer me in the right direction would be a great help , cheers!

I edited the photos out as the one violates forum rules. Basically it is post mint damage where the E in cent on the reverse was altered to a U. it is a damaged coin.

The only thing I "think" I see is a possible die crack off the base of the bust to the C in Canada.

I don't know what you mean by "a multitude of things happening". The only thing I see is the PMD on the "E" of CENT. I'm afraid you'll just have to be more specific.

Because there are members that are young and also families on this forum, the management does not appreciate if it was intended as humor. I think it has been explained as far as can be known about it, so tread carefully all.

lol, I only found this coin a few hours ago, but it is in ok shape for being over 150 years old, i did a little nick test on the side edge and it is bright yellow , i think its brass as for the last nine in the date what would you consider it out of the 9 different varieties ?

didnt mean to violate anything that was not the intention of the post/ photos when people ask for advice on coins everyone says to post clear pictures of the both sides of the coin !? no pics mean no help, why would any one take a brass 1859 canadian cent modify like that when there are a trillon valuless coin to screw with for a joke, after searching for a few hours i found two other sites out there where the cent was same way? idk what to think then except one guy out there that has the intention just to find all the 1859 pennies and change the word cent lol. at least let me put the pic of the front up so someone can help me wiyh the dstr vsriety yhsnks

We have to make decisions from the tone of the post. I did not read anything that mentioned any of the 'variety' you wanted to ask about. You obviously knew it was damage and not minted that way. Only you know your purpose, but it was not obvious to those who reported your post or myself. We will not allow graffiti that is racist, sexist, political, etc., or that is not within our rules. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
