those of you who was able to order on the firt day of the sac c&c and ordered at least over 25 was your dollars bills in series# or was they scatered around a couple here and a couple there, mine are not in series that i recieved from pcgs ,i didnt look at the sets before i shipped ,i just shipped them in the mint box unopened , but not only was there scattered serial #s they only sent about 2/3 of my suff back ,and that makes me wounder if they keepn 70s from sets for bigger companys or friends , i paid a lot of money for this to happen, so aperent not just the mint have problems with QUALITY control .do they film every way the shipment moves ?
The top grading services would not try to cheat one customer to benefit another. They would lose more in the long run. The fact that you did not receive consecutive serial numbers for your currency further strengthens my claim that the concept of "first strikes" is a bunch of crap, and there is no rhyme or reason to how the coins are distributed. Chris
i should have gotten all my stuff back ,so i am thinking there is something wrong .the bad thing is ,that i only use PCGS to grade my stuff, and try to buy pcgs holder coins off ebay
Ya make a good point. I'd never send anything off without first inspecting the contents of the box, but that would void the chance of getting a 'first strike' designation. Good thing I don't care a hill of beans about the designation.....
I ordered 10 sets the first day and my dollar bills were not in sequential order. Have you called customer service about your issues?
hearing you ordered 10 and didn't recieved sequential #s make me feel a lot better on the amount from the mint , PCGS confirmed the amount from the mint
It also took over 2 months to get back what i did, i called a couple of times in a,three week period and was told each time they were in the finale stage
The Mint did NOT send out sets with sequential bills to everyone. Also, an MS70 example of this coin is not easy at PCGS. I sold most of my sets that I ordered to a dealer friend. He told me he sent in a bulk order of over 300 sets, not a single MS70 was "given" to him and he regularly submits tons of coins...
boy i feel for the dealer that sent in over 300 and no seventy.i still wonder why i did not recieve all my stuff from them .hope fully i can get some return of my money by selling the bills . heard some one sold one for $20. they did tell me they were checking into why i didnt get it . hope some one dont have sticky fingers or forgot about the dollars when something happened . i hope all movement of everyones orders are filmed
Do not feel bad for that dealer at all... they got more than enough MS68 and MS69 coins to still double their money and they were buying sets at an average of $40 per set... if they had gotten an MS70 it would have been a home run.
But........do you believe him? By that, he could say that they were "flying off the shelf" but there is nothing that can factually "prove" that this is what was happening. As for selling 500? When? Before the show? Who knew they were being offered? During the show? Just like the liberties which are taken with describing a PR70 Silver Eagle, literally anything can be said to get folks hyped up enough to dial the phone. Personally, I don't believe him.
Yeah, hard to believe there are that many fools out there. How could anyone sell 500 sets in about 5 minutes at 3 times what they're going for on eBay? But, I do like what he has to say about the 2014-d dollar. It should be going for his price or more soon.
Many reasons! Too many to list here, just consider: Infinite reasons Sure, when you have any entire country, 500 ain't much
