For example here is one of my favorite medals from the Milwaukee Electric Rail Road and Light Company which I call the Shaw medal since it is unique. Good luck to anyone who wants to find it here in the future and can't remember the medal's exact name.

Hey @49ers I didn't mean to imply you made anything or did anything bad. Sorry that I came off that way!

I specialize in U.S. Air Force military trade tokens (while cautiously moving into MPC, sutler tokens/scrip, and paper chits) and can at least appreciate your struggle @FredJB.

I suppose we could always start our own thread. I did for challenge coins...it's been a little slow lately, haha!

Anyway, hope to see some of your medals!

jello is right! The answer was too obvious for me to see it, any one of us can start a thread so in a day or two I will start one. I think on private long service medals just to see what happens.

Washington before Boston........Americas first medals........love the series and it's completely affordable for the 'new' collector. :)

And William Washington at Cowpens.......what a part he played in carrying the day. :)

Whoa...I don't want to start a new thread, unless it's military trade tokens only ;). Besides, I wouldn't have anything to put in it. I think this thread is fine for random exonumia someone might have and want to share but if people want to start a new thread of only German military medals or medals without a country, etc. by all means go for it! Could be very interesting and I would certainly check it out.

I bought the set as they were issued back in the 70's. I see now that you can buy the whole set now for cheap money.

That's one of the things I like about exonumia; some really cool things can be had without spending a lot.
