Both I'm more so a variety collector but I'm working one a few sets bust half cents, three, bust half dimes.
Here's a III I really didn't need but had to have after I studied the clashes on it. I have several 1865's but this one is one of the coolest.
What is cool about this coin? Have a close look at both the reverse clash and the obverse clashes. The first I of the III was struck 4 times maybe it's hard to tell from my images but the bottom of the Roman numeral under Liberty's chin is struck 4 times. Next notice the date see the clash. That's the ribbons . That's 180 degrees from where it should be. Notice next to the 65 is the split end of the ribbon on rev. As to the left of 18 is the single end of the ribbon. This is confirmed by looking at the rev. Clash of Liberty's profile .
