Will this 1803 DBHC grade G-4/6? It's in pretty rough shape, but only 90,000 were struck so it's gotta worth keeping, ;)

    Thanks

Chuckle :) Yes, but not in the sense your referring to. I found it (along with other old coins and lead sinkers) in an antique snuff bottle which was my dads when he was a boy.

I'd say the coin is a good-6 from a details grade standpoint, but it wouldn't be that from a market standpoint due to the scratches and rough surfaces.

Still, I love old copper. Nice find!!

Nice. I would go AG/G IMHO. Still, it is definetly a keeper. ;)

Are you starting 1/2 cents now?
I guess that I will have to try to keep up.

Oh, no. I was just rearranging the 'old cigar-boxes' yesterday and was hauling out stuff which I haven't seen in awhile...

Ben,that's a nice space-filler.Who knows, you may end up getting the U.S. 1/2c. coin fetish.I've never had a U.S. 1/2c.,but I did have a couple of the large 1c. coin of the 1840's.I am in the process of offloading them.

    Aidan.

G-4 to me, too scratched and corroded to be 6. Nice coin anyway...I would certainly keep it !
