Its that time again folks, im your host pat sayjack. Put your goggles and glasses on and lets get ready to play! Up next on the grading block is this 1806 half cent, lets see who can outwit, outsmart, and outgrade the next feller! Trophy presentation and big reveal tonight! So.... pretend you are a hotshot grader @ a tpg and tell me what grade would you assign this puppy!
Very good... you should submit your resume to a tpg... Btw if details is your answer could you state why please?? IE: color , cleaning, etc
1806 Large 6 VF NGC (35) details . Corrosion at 5 PM on the reverse. But better pics would make it easier to discern.
35. Not enough separation in the hair at the forehead for XF. Ignoring problems, as I really can't say one way or another from the picture if they're serious.
35. I really wanted to go 40 but, @messydesk nailed it. I can't see anything in the pics to justify a details grade. Edit: Maybe a shot at a + or *.
I think it just missed xf.... i also think strike had more to do with the missing details than wear imo..... heres a good question for you guys: vf20= $230 and xf40= $425...........so should this be valued closer to xf $ closer to vf20 $ or right smack dab in the middle at around $300????
