Thought I would start collecting the 1 oz. silver coins. Went to the Mint's web and couldn't find any release data on the 2015 standard coin, only had info on the proof coins. what's the story on these coins?
If you're looking for the bullion coin here's a link: http://www.providentmetals.com/2015-1-oz-american-silver-eagle-bullion-coin.html
Non-proofs are only released through authorized sellers. You cannot buy directly from the mint. Go to www.comparesilverprices.com and see a listing of good sellers of these.
3 types of ASE's sold each year: 1) Bullion: Mint sells direct to Master Dealers only. We cannot buy them directly from the mint. 2) Proof: Usually released in Jan.. Can be purchased directly from the mint 3) Silver Uncirculated: Also referred to as "burnished". Can be bought directly from the mint. Looks like they will ship in late March. Hope that helps.
