Oh and hows about a 2nd trivia question for bonus points> what on earth would cause this sort of heavy toning?? Would love to hear some explanation/s as to what might have caused said toning!! Sound off and be a winner!!

This is a hard one to grade because the images don't show too much luster. I can tell that the toning is very thick, and thus, the luster has likely been muted by the toning. The surfaces look okay. I think the luster precludes a grade higher than MS65, and wouldn't be surprised with a MS64. I would need it in hand to see.

It's hard to say, but it doesn't look like typical album toning, mint set toning, or end of roll toning. My guess is likely that the piece was stored in an envelope or left out in the environment.

I know the photos make it harder to judge. I need a light setup still,,(would rather buy a coin than plz u guys i reckon) all contestants who are laughing too hard to judge are given until 8:55 pm tommorow to come down off of the alcohol/drugs they were on during the superbowl!

It looks like doubling on the arrow tips and beak but could be just my monitor poor view. That being said my grade would be, MS66 DDR-001 or FS-801 whichever Anacs uses. I may be way off but it wouldn't be the first time. That mark on the neck doesn't bother me like it would have had it been on the cheek. May have cost it the 66 I gave it but I'll stick with my non expert grade.

that's an ANACS small white slab. without the serial number I can't be sure when, but they were used by Amos from the sale by an ANA in mid 1990 until they started the blue slabs in 2005. So it has been in the container for 20 years or more since the grader actually saw it. the toning could have a lot more to do with the storage conditions over 20 to 35 years since it was graded.

Glad i didnt do a poll now, since you guys keep coming up w these exotic grades. I wouldnt have included DDR but i do see some doubling on the beak/ reverse... if anyone has a cpg or a site where i.could compare images please lemme know!

I'll guess it has some really nice color in the light. I'll go with 64.

    MS61

ANACS did a lot of net grading and with the gash on hjs neck, old George was going to bleed out in minutes anyway.

The toning is making it very difficult for me to determine if their is ware or not. My gut is saying AU 58, but I'm thinking that the tone is tricking me so with the nasty hit on the juggler and the three ticks in the open field I say MS 60.
