I also picked these two up at today's show. An 1866 RPD and maybe an DDO, I need some more comparisons to make the call, it has some great looking rim cuds and the color of this coin is a reddish coper tone. to boot. The 1870 is a nice colored spot on Au. coin.
1866 was the first year of minting of these coins which was the first time the mint ever used copper-nickel (75% copper 25% nickel) which is quite a bit harder than the nearly pure copper, silver (90%, 10% copper) or gold (90%, 10% copper or silver) they had been using up until then. As you can see from the coins it gave them a lot of trouble.
