It's Mercury Head Cab Sav from Orin Swift Winery. That's a real dime attached to the bottle. Kinda cool. Also expensive!!!

What happens when they use up all of the available supply of common-date Mercs?

Stick with Gallo. Personally, I rather enjoy Evan Williams but no 'Merks'.......:)

    That's Riddick talkin'.........

Somewhere in that company is a coin connoisseur with real taste.

I once ate gold leaf on a cruise ship once.... wish I had pocketed it instead.

$95 a bottle?!!? That'll buy me 31 bottles of 3-Buck Chuck... and a Mercury dime. Or a roll of Mercs and a bottle of still-pretty-nice wine. (As you can probably guess, my tastes are not refined.)

That'd take a lot of bottles of wine.

You just can't see it until you get to the bottom of the bottle. :)

If someone placed a mercury dime valued at $95 and a bottle of this in front of me and said "Pick one, no charge!", I'd probably take the wine.

A dime that expensive is too nice to fit in with my merc collection.

Alas, went to their website where they had a higher resolution image. It was a 1944. Obverse VF, possibly cleaned. So... buy the wine, not the coin?

Thunderbird was fifty cent twice....and then there was a song something like " you get a nickel I'll get a dime we'll get together and buy some wine"
    Ahh those were the days
