Here is one which I haven't looked at in a long time. The only information available for this coin is it's a 1626 Groshen. Can anyone else provide anymore information, it would be greatly appreciated. It's about 26mm and 1.8 grams. Take Care Ben
Aidan is right, Ben. This coin is in Krause as Saxony 1/24 thaler (groschen) KM#71. It shows mint initials HI of the mint master of the Chemnitz Mint Hans Jacob (mint master 1624-1635). The legends say: IOHAN GEORG DG DUX SAX IUL C ET M = Johann Georg, by the grace of God duke of Saxony, Jülich, Cleves and ? and on the reverse: SA ROM IMP ARCHIM ET EL. = archmarshall and elector of the Holy Roman Empire. bart
