Last "Epic" storm was a blowout here in Mass. but predicting 12-18" for tomorrow. Any of you going to hunkered down with your coins here in the North East?
We are s getting about 10" of snow a little west of Cleveland Ohio. Roasting a duck, gonna watch the super bowl, drink some vodka, and snow blow the drive way after the game - sorry to not have any time with coin collection today!
12-18 inches isn't a "big storm" but a light dusting, my friend. Only once well into being measured by the foot is it worth a second thought. Ice on the other hand, well, that's a different story altogether.
Two inches is big to me these days. I had a tree crush 3 vertebrae in 2009, break my leg, which still hurts in the cold, and cracked my skull. Had to retire at 57 because of all that, but I hear ya', small in comparison to upstate N.Y. when they got 7 feet not to long ago.
WOW!!!! I had no idea at all about how big it would be. I thought that they down graded it!! It says a foot or more expected on Monday. I was thinking we would only have 1" or 2". Aren't New England winters wonderful???
Coins locked in a safe in maine I'm stuck here in pa for an extra day reminds me I forgot about stacks had one bid tonight and a couple more I forgot to bid on cause the game
Seven feet... where did you hear that? Nonsense... it was, and trust me, I was there. I hear you about a few inches being a lot these days... we're in very similar boats it seems.
If you were there, than that is what is was, but here in the NY/NJ area, it was widely reported by essentially all the news networks that Buffalo got seven feet. Were we all snookered???? http://news.discovery.com/earth/wea...igs-out-from-7-feet-of-snow-photos-141124.htm
Poor wording on my part.. it was the amount of snow that was nonsense, as in ridiculous, and not the story itself.
I spent 2+ hours snow blowing my drive and street this morning. Not sure how much snow we got, but with the drifting the snow was higher than my Honda thrower on much of my drive.
This one just dropped about 16", about the target for the Berkshires in Mass. My good son plowed me out a couple hours ago. Bless his heart, he loves his Dad. (He still thinks his Mom is a nut case tho, LOL)
