ok i guess i did pretty good for a circulated ,certified coin im ok with it i just wanted a lower end one for my small set. i have it in ms 64... http://www.ebay.com/itm/351198244930?_trksid=p2059210.m2748.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT $165 is not bad,,,
It's your money, and you're certainly free do as you wish with it, but why would you purchase such and ugly and damaged specimen? Even in the 'holder', that sucker's gonna be hard to turn around..........
Good luck. The market on these has apparently collapsed -- a couple of details specimens, and one AG3 ANACS, have gone for under $100 on eBay recently. And while the BO price you paid wasn't bad, "circulated, certified" is a pretty generous description; it's trashed. Mine is in comparable condition (harshly cleaned and scratched, but not tooled or stained), and I'd imagined I might get $200 for it. Based on recent eBay results, I'm probably off by a factor of 2. Too bad -- I got it in 2011 or so, and prices were a good bit higher at that point; I could've easily realized $200 then. Not all coins go up over time.
We've all seen coins in details holders that we think should have gotten a straight grade, but this isn't one of them. Yikes!!!
So... you supposedly bought this for your "small set" AND to try to "make 30+ on a resale"? Interesting... I have to go with the majority here in this not being quite the "awesome purchase" you had hoped for, but with that said, please remember that no one twisted your arm or forced you to hit that "buy" button. It was your decision to do so, and if you don't like it just return and be done with it, but please don't neg this person for simply accepting a questionable offer, okay?
Kind of annoying that the seller would be out the shipping cost because you returned it. I mean, you were excited about the purchase when you posted and actually thought you would make some money off this seller for accepting your offer.
