I just got one on the 10th of March. I don't collect them, but since there are no Panamanian silver coins dated 1935 (my birth year), I bought a 1974 proof one just to own one. Clinker
cool Wow, it makes those Morgans look like little trinkets. You should show that coin to all the people that think our current dollar coins are to big!!
Ben,I have seen a couple of those huge silver 20 Balboas in my time. They're the most massive medal-coins I have ever seen. Aidan.
Not to mention that they are sterling instead of just 90% silver!! Ben, I was at an auction today that had two really nice AU bust halves (an 1823 and an 1826) with nice lookin skin. They were awesome coins, but unfortunately, they were advertised as Unc and brought retail unc. money.....thought you would be interested.
Wow! It;s a bird, it's a plane, no it's a...really big coin? lol That is a big coin. Thanks for sharing Bone. Phoenix
That's nice and simply massive. The largest that I have are several 5oz silver coins / medals, but never any larger than them. I was tempted to get a 10oz and kilo silver in the past, when silver was just a miserable 5usd/oz but obviously right now, it isn't the time
Thing looks like a Hubcap.... Where I live at certian people would put those on their cars over its wheels for ""Spinners""...
That reminds me.. A bit off topic.... I was in Panama about three years ago and their national beer's slogan is: "If it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger...". It's on all the cans and bottles. I about died laughing. I guess you could say, "If you can carry this coin in 100 degree heat and not die, you will be stronger!!!"
Chuckle, there is something else in the picture which is unusual (to some perhaps) as well. Can you spot it? Take Care Ben
I don't have my glasses back from the shop yet (stepped on them trying to find them... very chiche, I know), but is the morgan on the left a fake? -Josh
