I like the NGC coin better. To me it has better detail and it is an earlier die stage. The PCGS is an ugly color with heavy die flow lines beginning to form in the left obv field. The only problem I see withthe NGC is it may have had a light cleaning, but the PCGS looks like it could use some conservation work.
I decided to keep the NGC coin. I really looked at the detail on each coin closely and the spread of letters, it was much clearer on the NGC coin. It also didn't have the heavy die flow lines as Conder101 mentioned. It may have been dipped, but it has better details where it counts. It was a very hard decision for me since I am partial towards PCGS nickels. I absolutely despise Jeffersons in this version of NGC slabs. I can't give them away when the time comes to move them, but I am trying my best to buy the coin and not the slab.
