I've been researching this penny for nearly 2 and a half years. I'm still not able to get a difintive solid explaination. Here is what I know. It isn't a delamination bubble. It can't be depressed with a tooth pick. The pictures I have aren't the best so I'll tell you that the dashed area is a raised, beveled surface that matches uniformly with the lettering. In all of my searches for campaign or commerative coins, this coin doesn't show up. I haven't had it xrayed because I don't know if spending the money on it would be worth it's future value if it's proven to be a mint error. Suggestion? Ideas? Explainations will be taken into consideration. Thanks in advance. Look at my profile for pictures of the penny.
