So it’s not a mint error or it’s not PMD? A “NO” leaves me with two choices still to figure out.

Are y’all really sure? I’m not convinced that it is PMD. But I’m also not convinced that it’s a mint error either. The last two photos are a double struck flip over error. The OP’s coin is zinc just like these are.

The Cent in question is Post Mint Damage.

The Cents collecting nut has shown are known errors.. Brockages and Off Center Strikes.

The distinction line I use is:

It is not PMD, in the sense that it was not innocence of careless or unintentional handling, without intent to deceive.

It is not an error because there is no technical explanation for the "manufacturing" occurrence, i.e. unplanned result.

It is not a variety because it was not produced in the ordinary course of business by the Mint.

It is intentional...what was and I guess to some level still is...described as a midnight minter production (whether at the Mint or by an individual/entity that does so to deceive and profit from.

That is the reason for my reply as "both".

I lean towards a capped die situation. The stretch of the reverse design still makes me think that there is more than a wheel and a railroad track.
