Hi. Not sure if I should post here or in a photography forum, but I'll give it a try here first Does anyone know of any software that can "autocrop" coin pictures? Meaning that it will automatically keep only the picture of the coin itself and not the background. Don't know if this even exists but if it does it would save me a lot of work
circle crop the coin then "cut" then "paste" to a background you have saved I have a MAC so thats how I do it
The way I do it with PhotoShop Elements is Not automatic, but it is fairly easy. I doubt there is a program available to the public that can intelligently batch crop coin images.
There is great man, who is a forum member here, that I know was working on software to auto crop coins. He told me the coin would have to be same denomination, with the photo taken from the same angle and distance. I don't know if he has finished it, but his greatness is undeniable.
Thank you for your replies. Will have a look into the software mentioned here. If auto-crop software should be found please let me know. On a general basis I think its strange if such program doesn't exists. If some parameters had been preset, it shouldn't be impossible. With parameters I'm thinking like dark background if coin has bright colors and vice versa
